15. Mami Nanami (Rent-a-Girlfriend)

This one has gotten mixed feelings from the anime communities.

But I do believe she’s a great waifu, she obviously felt bad about dumping Kazuko, even though she wouldn’t admit it.

She has a toxic girlfriend personality;

• Highly intelligent
• Extremely charismatic
• Envious manipulator

However, I do think it’s kinda cute that she did everything in her power to make Kazuko and Chizoru break up.

And it’s good to include other types of dere (personalities) in the best waifu of all time list instead of your typical dandere.

Mami’s at #15, and yeah, she’s a bit of a rollercoaster. She’s smart,charismatic, and knows how to play the game, making her a waifu you can’t ignore.

14. Malty S. Melromarc (The Rising of the Shield Hero)

OK – I am not going to sugarcoat this… Malty is kind of a… bitch.

She played the perfect waifu.

Until we discovered she wanted to get close to Naofumi to steal all his money and ruin his reputation by telling everyone she got raped.

BUTT, she did play her role so exceptionally well that I just had to include her in the best anime waifu list. 

Even though she only played the beloved waifu for one episode, she stole many anime fans’ hearts and made an impact.

Okay, so Malty’s a bit of a wild card, right?

She’s got this bad rep, but man, did she play the waifu game well. She’s the kind of character you love to hate, landing her at #14.

13. Rem (Re: Zero)

If you’ve been anywhere near the anime community, you know Rem is basically the queen of waifus.

Remember that heart-wrenching episode 18 in the first season? 

Yeah, the one where Rem confesses her love to Subaru in a way that could melt even the coldest of hearts.

It’s not just her undying love for Subaru that makes her stand out, but also her fierce loyalty and bravery.

In episode 15, “The Outside of Madness,” we see Rem’s true strength as she battles the cultists to protect Subaru. 

It’s a scene that’s as intense as it is emotional, showcasing her as a warrior who’s not just about the cute maid outfit.

Rem’s at #13 and for good reason. She’s got this mix of love and warrior spirit that just grabs you.

Plus, who can forget her epic moments in battle?

12. Doroka (The Kingdoms of Ruin)

I have never been a fan of fantasy anime series but HOLY COW this one is a 10/10.

Doroka first appears in the first episode (And So, Our Story Begins).

Locked up in prison, she gives away her food so her fellow cellmates stop fighting.

We then learn that she has been doing this for multiple days in a row, showcasing just how much she puts others before her.

Amongst sexual harassment, public executions, exploding heads, and even the extermination of her entire species – Doroka remains peaceful and loving towards humans.

While our protagonist (Mr. Adonis) would rather burn the entire planet to the ground, she shows such kindness and forgiveness that she’s almost like an angel on Adonis his shoulders.

True waifu material!

Doroka hits #12 for being the angel in a world of chaos. Her kindness in the craziest situations is just mind-blowing.

11. Neko Fujinomina (Masamune-kun’s Revenge)

Speaking of crazy, on a scale of 1-10 how crazy are you to almost hit a stranger with a car and then jump out and declare your love for them?!

Ever since Fujinomina appeared in Masamune-kun Revenge, she has been adored by the anime community for her cheerful and sweet personality.

Despite her being chronically ill, she didn’t talk much about herself.

Fujinomina always put others before herself – making her cute waifu material.

Fujinomina reaaaally wants to get married so she tries to make masamune her husbando.

This leads to a couple of funny (but cute) scenes where she fails and you have one of those typical moments where the protagonist his nose starts to bleed.

Neko’s all cheer and sweetness, landing her at #11. Despite her struggles, she’s always putting others first, which is total waifu material.

10. Shoko Makinohara (Rascal Does Not Dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai)

Shoko (the bunny girl) is like a cool breeze on a hot day – refreshing and soothing.

 When she first shows up in episode 6, it’s like a surprise twist that makes you sit up and pay attention.

She’s calm, kind, and seems to know just the right thing to say.

Shoko stands out because she’s not just nice to look at; she’s got this peaceful vibe that makes you feel relaxed. 

She’s the kind of waifu who’s like a best friend – always there to listen and make you feel better.

And she looks damn cute in that bunny outfit.

Shoko’s at #10 for being the chill in the anime storm. She’s got this calm, kind vibe that just makes you feel good.

9. Nezuko Kamado (Demon Slayer)

I know, I know…

Including Nezuko in a ‘best anime waifus of all time’ list is as cliche as finding a cat in a cardboard box but I just had no choice.

She’s cute, powerful, and just super sweet so I was left with no choice.

Forgive me.

Nezuko at #9 because, come on, who can resist that cuteness and power? She’s the demon-slaying sister we all dream of having.

8. Shinobu Kocho (Demon Slayer)

I am kicking off this list with Miss Shinobu Koche – a beautiful waifu from the popular series Demon Slayer.

Not only is she a badass Hashira,

but she’s also exceptionally kind and loving.

Remember that scene from Season 2 where Tanjiro was brought to ‘the masters’ mansion?

Every Hashira (including the legendary Mr. Rengoku) wanted to kill Tanjiro and his sister but guess who didn’t? 

That’s right, Shinobu was quiet all the time non-verbally telling us she felt sorry for Tanjiro.

Especially since she tried to kill Nezuko in the forest earlier.

In fact, when Tanjiro and Nezuko got pardoned by the Master, Shinobu offered to take them in and help them recover and train.

Shinobu grabs the 8th spot with her killer combo of being a top-tier fighter and a sweetheart.

She’s way more than just a Hashira; she’s got this golden heart that lights up the whole Demon Slayer series.

7. Mitsuri Kanroji (Demon Slayer)

Another character from Demon Slayer – Mitsuri (or Miss Kanroji) the Love Hashira.

She’s not only super cute and talks like a princess but also a badass fighter with a whip instead of a sword.

And stronger than most guys.

In Season 3, I am almost certain everyone would have died if she hadn’t shown up and whooped that demon’s ass.

Mitsuri snags #8 with her princess vibes and badass whip skills. She’s the perfect mix of cute and fierce, making her totally unforgettable.

She’s a great statue-worthy waifu if you ask me!

6. Taiga Aisaka (Toradora)

Taiga aka the tiger. 

You: That was a nice scene inde- WAIT WHAT?

Ok, hear me out for a second.

Taiga tried to kill Yasuko for taking a love letter she wrote to her classmate. 

If I just look at the character development of Taiga, it’s almost insane how she went from fully Terminator to caring waifu who makes cookies.

She shows us that she’s tough on the outside and soft within, which makes her a beloved waifu within the anime community.

Taiga, a.k.a. the tiny but mighty tiger, roars into #6. She’s got this tough shell but is all soft and sweet on the inside.

5. Yoshimoto Shizuka (The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You)

This is probably one of the most underrated anime waifus of all time – Yoshimoto.

She’s from the popular romcom The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You.

Try saying that 7 times after taking a shot of vodka, I dare you.

The reason I included her in the list is because she’s just adorable with her cute shy Dandere personality. 

In fact, she’s so shy that she can’t even talk but needs to use audiobooks.

Yoshimoto’s up at #5 for being the cutest shy girl around. Her unique way of communicating just adds to her charm.

4. Raphtalia (Rising of the Shield Hero)

“I will always be your sword master”

Does that quote sound familiar?

That’s right, it is the iconic line from Raphtalia the companion of Naofumi. 

Even though she was originally bought as a slave, Raphtalia shows unwavering loyalty towards Naofomi (her former master).

Her journey from a timid, scared little girl to a strong, confident warrior is nothing short of inspiring.

She’s not just loyal; she’s the definition growth and resilience.

Raphtalia’s character shines through her actions and her dedication to Naofumi, especially in those moments when she stands up to fight alongside him, despite her own fears. 

Remember the scene in episode 4, where Naofumi lost the duel and Raphtalia was set free?

She still stuck by his side and even decided to get the slave mark (again).

It’s moments like these that make her a standout waifu.

Raphtalia takes #4 with her journey from scared kid to fierce warrior. She’s loyal, brave, and the kind of partner everyone needs in a pinch.

3. Marin Kitagawa (My Dress-Up Darling)

Have you seen a blonde girl going around the internet lately??

Yup, that’s Marin Kitagawa. 

Romcoms have really started to get traction in the past year and for good reason: the cute waifus!

Even though Marin and Gojou are solar opposites.

Gojou is a shy introverted loner and Marin a stunning, popular extrovert.

And still, they fit like a glove.

Marin doesn’t care about Gojou’s social status or looks, she likes him for the person he is.

Looking beyond the obvious inside someone’s heart requires a lot of kindness.

The best thing about Marin is that even though she’s not good at certain things, she still tries to go above and beyond and make the best out of it.

Like that time she was making lunch for Gojou.

She’s also super enthusiastic and cheerful which makes her even more adorable. Her energy is infectious, lighting up every scene she’s in. 

It’s this combination of her genuine nature, her willingness to embrace her passions, and her ability to see the good in others that makes Marin Kitagawa the ULTIMATE waifu. 

She’s the full package of enthusiasm, authenticity, and heart. She’s not just a dream girl; she’s the dream waifu.

2. Kyouko Hori (Horimiya)

Dummy, dummy, dummy, dummy, dummy…

She’s the queen of calling her love, Miyamura, a dummy, but in the most cheeky way possible. 

Hori might come off as the ‘perfect’ student with top grades and a friendly demeanor, but get her home, and you see a whole different side.

That’s what Chizuru is – a rental girlfriend.

When she first appeared in episode 1, anime fans were blown away by her beauty and cuteness.

For someone who goes on dates with strangers for a living, she’s not shy.

In fact, she is very open and warm, making her stand out from the typical anime waifus.

Later, we find out that it’s an act and she’s 10 times more tough than the submissive girlfriend she pretends to be.

As the series progresses, we see layers to Chizuru that make her genuinely special. 

She’s not just playing a role; she’s deeply compassionate and caring, often going above and beyond for Kazuya, even when it’s not part of the ‘rental’ deal.

Her strength isn’t just in her toughness, but in her vulnerability too. 

We see moments where her true feelings peek through, especially in those scenes where she lets her guard down. 

It’s this mix of strength and vulnerability, along with her undeniable charm and dedication, that makes Chizuru a top-tier waifu.

Chizuru’s at #1 for being more than just a rental deal. She’s warm, tough, and real, showing us all the layers of a great waifu.

My Final Words About Anime Waifus

The anime waifus on this list are extremely cute and adorable. My personal favorite is Taiga since she has such a unique personality that’s both tough and cute.
